Here's my completed painting of Madame de Pompadour, played by Sophia Myles, from the Doctor Who episode Girl in the Fireplace.

This is the first painting I did with the Bamboo Wacom I got for Christmas 2011. I did it as a practice piece to see how well I'm doing self-teaching myself how to draw with the tablet. ^_^

Instead of drawing the picture using one reference picture, I used many different ones because I couldn't draw certain parts of the costume, hair, ect. very well on the tablet yet. One day I'd like go back and re-draw her, mostly because there are parts in this painting I don't like, but only after I learn how to use the tablet better.

Drawn in GIMP with a Bamboo Wacom tablet using countless reference pictures (Both official and screen caps) found online.

Madame de Pompadour and Doctor Who belong to BBC and its other rightful owners.
Fan art belongs to and is drawn by me. ^_^
